According to a recent survey by GetEducated.com, Texas Tech University ranks 11th in the country as a best buy for an online master?s degree in special education.
The program, housed in the College of Education, has been independently reviewed, compared to its national peers, and found to offer one of the ?Best Buys? nationwide for special educators for whom college affordability has become a critical issue.
?It is nice for our special education online master?s program to be recognized for this achievement,? said Scott Ridley, dean of the college. ?The most important quality of this program though, is its rigor and emphasis on performance-based learning to immediately improve outcomes for individuals with disabilities.?
The Get Educated Best Buys rankings for an online master?s in special education are based on comparing tuition and distance learning fees at 35 different programs. Each ranking list specifies the exact data set, and the empirical cost and affordability ranking compared to a university?s peers.
